Pulling Strings

Pulling Strings is a ensemble play using Brechtian techniques that examines not only the life of Wu Zetian, the one and only female who ruled as emperor in Imperial China, but also sisterhood and female relationships across lifetimes.

Cast size: 5-8 people

Pulling Strings was co-commissioned by The Creative School, X University & Tarragon Theatre, and had a workshop reading at Women’s Work Festival in St. John’s, Newfoundland.
